D.C. pregame/updates
Huge result for us tonight. Salt Lake came through with a 1-0 win over Colorado which keeps the Rapids at 29 points (we have 31). But earlier this evening, Columbus got a late goal to earn 3 points against Toronto. So the Crew now have 31 points putting them in a tie with us for 8th place in the league, but until tomorrow at 2:00, the Crew and Rapids have played one more game than us.
And my repetitive comments will now continue... Gigantic game for us tomorrow (I might as well just save that line somewhere so I don't have to type it every week) against D.C. United. One of our biggest rivals comes to town but without three of their typical starters because of yellow card suspension: Ben Olsen, Christian Gomez and Fred (Obviously Brazilian). Maybe I'll go play in Brazil at some point and just go by "Chris". Anyway... we could really use 3 points tomorrow to push us back above Columbus by 3 points and to pull away from Colorado by 5 points. Hopefully, we can get some help from Chivas tonight against Kansas City, as they are only 5 points ahead of us now.
I know that was just a mess of numbers again, but hopefully it makes some sense. I'm excited for tomorrow and the opportunity at hand for us. Check out the game at 2:00 CST on Telefutura if you're outside of Chicago, but if you're in town you might as well come out to the stadium and make a day of it.
Do they have an option for English captions on Telefutura? If so that'd be a nice feature. But what would really be great is if you could tweak something in the tv to make Wynalda talk in Spanish on ESPN2... I guess the mute function will have to work for the time being.
